AN INTERVIEW WITH CHIBUZOR AGUNWA (MR.DASH) PRESIDENT GENERAL, DELTA YOUTH COALITION (DYC) SINE QUA NON IN THE NEW POLITICAL DISPENSATION.

PRESENTER: ONOME TANNO OF DBS ASABA

Thuraday 27/7/23

A successful agricultural reform is also a sine qua non in any serious government, as well as good economic plan towards the growth and control of the mineral resources.

But apparently the government is not applying critical measures to enhance viability of it liquidified resources. Therefore, further exploitation should be by way of engaging the private sector in different capabilities to take up partnership in those areas and enact programmes to empower it citizens in various dicipline.

It only takes a technocrat to fine tone the best way on economic growth, most importantly where we have vast mineral resources e.g, Lignite, Silica, Limestone, Industrial clay, Kaolin, Tar sand and Decorative rocks apart from the crude oil in Delta state. The exploitation of the mineral resources should form part of the funding for critical projects and other empowerment in the state. It is on record we elected Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovweri the incumbent governor of the state, and of course he is the man “”WEY SABI””.

The leader of DYC Agunwa (Mr Dash), as a business man/ consultant turn politician, Creating an industrial hub will open up Delta and generate more revenue for the government, where government will provide basic emenities like 24 hours electricity and security,.
Agunwa promised to bring in more than 20 multi national company to invest in Delta.
If by transparency the government can be truthful to it self and avail opportunity, accountability extending it to the mining sector, it citizens will be of self reliance and the state will achieve sustainable economic growth. The state revenue will sky rocket. This are part of our field campaign based slogan since year 2022.

Agunwa, in making a case for ease of reference, in today’s Nigeria the fundemental rights of the citizens has been stolen and taken to the lion’s den. In a context where government institutions fail to respect and abide by the rule of law, what then did you expect from a common man? is the law meant to protect only the rich?

DYC Boos While reacting, in the case of emefiele the former CBN governor who was arraingn in court and was granted bail in a court of competent jurisdiction. The court order says: that the man has been granted bail, but will remain with the Nigeria correctional service untill he perfects his bail conditions. Such order supposed to be respected and carried. Unfortunately, the Directorate of state services had a fall off with the prison officials, it is a total violation of section 17 of the 1999 constitutions (The state social order is founded on ideals of freedom, equality and justice) this has negetively painted our intergrity as a nation before the world.

It is clear that the former governor Sen.Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration did tremendiuosly well in the past eight years of his tenure, in a scale of reference he performed excellently well in different sectors of the economy, that is the good governance that we preach.

Governance is not by noise making but by creating policies that will direct activities towards achieving a realistic developmental goals.
The former governor has shown capacity and credibility by perfomance in educational sector, Health, infrastructural developments and of course skill acquisation programmes for youths in Delta.

In Agunwa’s note: I am happy that Deltans have started enjoying the leadership of the incumbent Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborovweri, he is another Okowa in different form. This can be attested via the ongoing cleanup exercise at warri, opening of drainages and expanding of water ways barely fews months in office.

Again at the state secretariate few days ago, he paid an unprecedented visit to civil servants where he approved the whopping sum of #5 billion naira for the promotion arrears to the civil servants, this is awsome and amazing in a time like this. You can imagine what that money could do for their families.

Finally, Agunwa made known the importance to regulate the patroleum companies by creating policies and relivant laws to control the excesses from crude oil processing and convert same to other patroleum products.
Doing so will go a long way to minimize enviromental poluttion, Health threat and hazards in the oil communities.

Chibuzor Agunwa (Mr Dash)
President General,
Delta youth Coalition (DYC)
